Dustin Hudak
Dustin Hudak is a cinematographer, editor, and audio engineer based in Chicago, Illinois. After transferring to DePaul to run track and cross country, Dustin pursued his Masters degree in Cinematography, quickly finding roles directing shorts, filming events, and working as an assistant on different sets throughout Chicago and Los Angeles. He has worked on documentaries, movies, music videos, weddings, and has produced multiple albums for independent artists.
Working as an assistant to award winning cinematographers, directors, and editors in Hollywood allowed him to quickly gain a deep understanding for the filmmaking process and the business and preparation that goes with it.
Rodney Purdy (RJ)
RJ started his journey at DePaul University in 2024, quickly getting hired to film music videos, comedy shows, and large productions throughout the city of Chicago. He has also directed a number of films spanning a variety of genres. From documentaries, to horror, to comedy, RJ brings a vast skill set to the team, and understands how to make films of all kinds.
“As a director and camera operator, I believe every frame should serve the story. From music videos and live performances to events and short films, my goal is to craft visually compelling experiences that resonate with audiences and leave a lasting impression.”
Chenxi Li is a director, cinematographer, editor, and producer with international experience across China, Italy, and the United States. Since beginning his career in Milan in 2015, he has worked across short films, music videos, commercial productions, promotional campaigns, and narrative cinema. His work has been recognized by multiple international festivals, including Canada Shorts, Hollywood Shorts Fest, Prisma Rome, RED Movie Awards, Rome International Short Festival, Rotterdam Independent Film Festival, VideoCinema&Scuola, IveliseCineFestival, Varese International Film Festival, and La Lanterna Film Festival. His projects have also been connected to the Cannes Marché du Film, Seoul Pride International Film Festival, and cultural exhibitions in Milan and Bologna. With strong experience in directing, cinematography, editing, and production, Chenxi brings a complete understanding of the filmmaking process from concept to final delivery. He has worked with professional camera systems including ARRI Alexa Mini, ARRI Amira, RED Epic, RED Komodo, and Sony FX9, and is skilled in Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, and Photoshop. Currently based in Chicago, Chenxi is pursuing his MFA in Film and Television Directing at DePaul University. His work focuses on emotionally grounded storytelling, strong visual identity, and characters shaped by memory, displacement, guilt, and survival.
